　　1. She can speak seven foreign languages to say nothing of her English. 她能講七種外國(guó)語言，更不用說英語了。
　　【分析】①“say nothing of…”是用來表示“更不用說是…”的意思。②“not to speak of…”與“no to mention…”也是用來表示相同的意思。③“not to say…”則表示“即使不能說…”的意思。
　　2. To tell the truth, I don’t like her at all. 說實(shí)在話，我一點(diǎn)也不喜歡她。
　　【分析】① to tell the truth= to say the truth，是用來表示“說實(shí)在話”、“說老實(shí)話”的意思，它是一個(gè)獨(dú)立主格結(jié)構(gòu)，用來修飾整個(gè)句子。② to be frank with you（坦白地說），to make a long story short（簡(jiǎn)單地說），to do one justice（公平的說），與to tell the truth是個(gè)相類似的句型。
　　3. When I was a boy, I was too cowardly to go out at might. 當(dāng)我還是個(gè)小孩時(shí)，我太膽小以致夜晚不敢出門。
　　【分析】① too…to…= so…that…cannot…，表示“太…以致無法…”的意思；② too…for+意義上的主語+to…的句型也表示相同的意思。
　　4. This mountain is twice as large as that one. 這座山大約是那座山的兩倍高。
　　【分析】① twice as large as 是表示“兩倍的大小”的意思。當(dāng)twice改為three times four times…時(shí)，則表示“三倍、四倍…”的意思，此外“as+adj.+as”結(jié)構(gòu)還可用“as+adv.+as”表達(dá)；②“…as+adj.+n.+as…”也可以表示同樣的意思。
